Used Ultrasound - About Us
UMED is a company set up in 1998, whose goal is to establish an international network to encourage the export of refurbished medical imaging equipment and mostly: ultrasound scanners, transducers, accessories plus spare parts. This activity has progressed as a result of the economic opportunities in the French market.
The final destination of the devices takes into account the different requirements of the countries as well as bugetary constraints. The latter determine the degree of reconditioning and also the services that are provided with the resale of this equipment: technical training, clinical training, guarantees, developments, etc...

The development of UMED's activity is based on the experience of its founders who have worked for many years in the field of medical imaging, and more especially, ultrasound.

Owing to UMED’s familiarity with the products handled, the French commercial networks and the main actors in the field, it is able to provide an effective guarantee for the quality and capability of the products selected.
The brands and models are selected not only on the basis of their reliability but also on their performance levels and the number of units installed in France.
Given these criteria, the following brands and models are our prime offers :

Depending on anticipated developments in the various countries such as : Africa, Near & Middle East, future new Europeans countries, UMED expects -- within the framework of an even greater collaboration with its correspondents -- to establish technical and clinical training programmes. These could be organized in France or abroad in association with its principal French partners.
